At Macquarie Park Public School we run an extensive orientation program for students enrolled to commence in Kindergarten in 2027. Information regarding the dates for this program will be published on this site very soon.

Out-of-Area (Non-local) Enrolments for 2027
Schools may accept enrolments from outside their designated area if places are available. Such applications are subject to department policies.
- Learning and wellbeing needs requiring reasonable adjustments and/or additional education support, including cultural considerations, disability, developmental age, trauma, child protection concerns, medical and individual needs and circumstances
- Siblings currently attending the school
- Parent or carer works at the school
- Proximity and access to the school
- Structure and organisation of the school
- Safety and supervision of the student before and after school
- Recent change in the local intake area boundaries
- School is under buffer and has local and non-local enrolment availability
Please note our criteria does not include student ability, performance or achievement.
Acceptance of out-of-area applications is determined by a panel which must include a community member, and each application is assessed individually against the above criteria.

Kindergarten Enrolment
Apply online
Our new online enrolment process makes it easier and faster to enrol your child at your local school.
To apply online, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- live in the local enrolment area of this school.
If you are not eligible to use the online form or prefer not to, you can download an Application to Enrol
Kindergarten children must be five years old by the 31st July 2027 in order to enrol in Kindergarten (for the 2027 school year) and must start school by the end of semester one. You will need to provide the following documentation prior to your child starting school:
- Birth certificate or passport
- Immunisation certificate
- Proof of residential address, (eg. original copies of council rates notice, lease agreement, electricity account, statutory declaration etc.)

Distance Education
Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.

Temporary Visas and International Students

Temporary residents
Students arriving from overseas will need to bring their passports and visas when enrolling at school and special conditions may exist for some visa holders. For students who are Temporary Residents, an Authority to Enrol document must be issued by the Department of Education prior to commencing enrolment.
Priority must be given to students living within the school's enrolment boundaries. Students who live outside the local area are entitled to apply to enrol at Macquarie Park PS, and depending on vacancies, the school may accept the enrolment. Decisions regarding enrolment will be made by the school's enrolment committee.
